Dave Hicks started diving in 1990 while living in Southern California. After moving to Seattle in 1994 he embraced the bounty of Pacific Northwest diving in Puget Sound and British Columbia. In the early 2000’s he took up photography and it became a core focus to learn, practice, and constantly strive to improve his skills. Along the way, he switched to rebreather diving and incorporated it into his photography. He is now a retired ex-software engineer and turning his creative drive toward designing ever more elaborate 3D-printed solutions for scuba and underwater photography.
