Andy Deitsch

Andy has been scuba diving since 1990 when he took a Discover SCUBA diving experience in Hawaii. In 2010 he began pursing diving more seriously after acquiring an underwater housing for his camera. Since then he has traveled the world in pursuit of underwater photo opportunities. When he isn't capturing images underwater he enjoys diving for shark teeth at his home in Florida. He is also a volunteer diver for Mote Marine Research Lab in Sarasota, Florida.

Ciara enjoys helping divers build confidence, develop new skills, and discover a deeper appreciation for the underwater world.

Martyn Guess is a well known underwater photographer whose images regularly appear In magazines and competitions. He has been taking his underwater images for over 30 years around the Globe. He regularly presents at BSOUP and other camera clubs as well as Dive shows and organises photo trips to exotic locations, such as Bali, Lembeh, Raja Ampat and others, specifically for like minded underwater photographers through Caroline at Scubatravel.

Dr. Alex Mustard MBE is a celebrated British underwater photographer and marine biologist. A full-time professional since 2004, he holds a PhD in marine ecology. Known for his award-winning imagery, he was named European Wildlife Photographer of the Year in 2013 and is a frequent winner in the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition. His deep scientific knowledge deeply informs his creative, boundary-pushing compositions

Lena Kavander is a passionate wreck diver living in Stockholm, Sweden. She’s been working as a dive instructor and guide in places such as Mexico, Australia and Iceland, and enjoys both tropical and cold water diving. Since moving back to Sweden she spends much of her free time exploring and guiding wreck diving in the Baltic Sea.

Martin Broen is a Technical Diver and Cave Explorer passionate about capturing and sharing the beauty of this planet. Originally from Argentina and currently based in New York, Martin works in Design and Innovation, allowing him to combine his everyday work on sustainability with his passion for nature and underwater photography. He has won numerous photography awards, including Underwater Photographer of the Year, the Monovisions Black and White Photo of the Year and DPG (Dive Photo Guide) Masters Black and White category three years in a row.

Douglas Ebersole, MD is an interventional cardiologist at Watson Clinic in Lakeland, Florida as well as the Director of the Structural Heart program at Lakeland Regional Health medical center. He is an avid technical and cave diver as well as a CCR trimix instructor and cardiology consultant to Divers Alert Network (DAN). His medical background and diving experience gives him a unique perspective on diving physiology.

Through Clear Blue Diving, she leads engaging workshops and curated dive trips that empower divers to expand their knowledge of local marine species and contribute as citizen scientists through the REEF Volunteer Survey Program.

Christine Hartley

Christine Hartley is a photographer from San Diego, California. Growing up so close to the coast gave her a love for the ocean. After getting scuba certified in 2019, Christine began diving all around the world. During COVID lockdowns she decided to buy her first camera, an Olympus TG-6, to bring the beauty of the ocean to those who could not see it themselves. Thus began her passion for photography and eventually upgraded her camera to a Sony A7rV in 2023. Her work has won awards and been featured in news outlets and magazines. She is dedicated to supporting conservation efforts and is an expedition reporter for Bleu World, a non-profit organization based on Catalina Island, California focused on kelp forest monitoring.

Gabriel Jensen is the 2025 Underwater Close Up Photographer of the Year, biochemist, and photonaturalist. His award winning images highlighting the exotic underwater microfauna of Florida’s urban waterways have been featured by Forbes, NOAA, REEF, BBC Wildlife, The Smithsonian, and National Geographic. As a board member of the South Florida Underwater Photography Society, he works to connect local underwater image makers and empower them to be ambassadors for our oceans.

Aoife McKiernan

Raised on Ireland’s west coast, 26-year-old Aoife McKiernan developed a lifelong passion for the ocean that eventually led her to scuba diving while earning a Bachelor of Science in Health & Society at Dublin City University. Alongside her professional career as a health researcher and her contributions to academic projects at the Universities of Manchester and Otago, she actively serves her community as a volunteer Search and Recovery diver. Honored as the 2024 Our World-Underwater Scholarship Society™ EU Media Intern, Aoife is excited to blend her background in research, media, and diving to capture and share untold stories of our seas.
